After Daniel died in the spring of 1810, his widow Martha was appointed executor of his estate, as seen in the Essex County Probate record below.

Daniel's widow Martha later married Jacob Towne of Topsfield on 25 Jan 1824, and subsequently bore a daughter Angeline on 16 Apr 1824. Martha outlived her son Joseph, as well as her second husband Jacob who died in 1835.
