My maternal gg-grandfather fought in the Civil War, and kept daily diaries of his service in campaigns in Louisiana and Florida
My 3rd and 4th great-grandfathers, Daniel and Joseph Hartwell, both went to sea at an early age, and each has a noteworthy story.
This Bible belonged to my 3rd great-grandfather, Ebenezer Stiles Ellis, in which he and his wife and descendants recorded dozens of family birth, marriage and death records.
I have four "witches" in my ancestry, Rebecca Nurse, Susannah Martin, John Proctor and Sarah Osborne, each accused and condemned to death in the Salem, Mass. witch trials of 1692.
William Brewster and Richard Warren were two of the 29 passengers on the Mayflower in 1620 known to have descendants, and I have direct lines of descent from both of them.
Both my father and mother's ancestry connect to royal ancestral lines in England, descending from Charlemagne, Alfred the Great and William the Conqueror among others.
My 8th gr-grandfather William Furbish fought for the Scots in the Battle of Dunbar, and was subsequently imprisoned by the English, shipped to the New World, and indentured.
Here you can find family trees of the four main branches of my ancestral family.
I have an extensive collection of photographs, documents and letters from my grand and great-grandparents, as well as a few aunts and uncles
Here are links to pages with information about a number of my family lines, which will become live as I complete them.
