Stephen Francis Voorhees (1878-1965)
Two Journies to Holland
Uncle Frank made two excursions, in 1937 and 1960, to his ancestral homeland of Holland to visit the village of Hees, which was the home of the immigrant Steven Coerte Van Voorhees (1600-1684). He journaled each of the two visits in the document below. We also have a description of the yacht he rented on his 1960 trip with his sister Aunt Margaretta. Finally, there is an annotated a map of the region with the paths they explored in 1960. Click on any of the images to view the full document in a new window.
